Blue Knights Capture Region 13 Championship in back to back Overtime Thrillers
DCTC fought through two overtime games on championship weekend, showing toughness, composure, and belief when it mattered most.
Semifinals
DCTC 104 – Dakota College at Bottineau 103 (OT)
The semifinal matchup against Dakota College at Bottineau was a battle from start to finish. Neither team backed down, and it took overtime to decide it. In overtime with 3 seconds left and the season on the line, Yarin Alexander stepped up and hit the game-winner.
Alexander finished with 34 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 assists, controlling the game on both ends.
D'Marco Chelley added 33 points, 7 assists, and 3 steals, making big plays throughout the night.
Parker Fahning gave us a huge lift with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Championship Game
DCTC 108 – United Tribes 100 (OT)
Less than 24 hours later, the Blue Knights found themselves in another overtime fight this time with a championship on the line. DCTC defeated United Tribes 108–100 in overtime to claim the Region 13 Championship.
Alexander continued his stellar play with 32 points and 10 rebounds; Chelley delivered another big performance with 31 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds, controlling the tempo and make tough shots. Fahning also added 19 points and 5 rebounds
All-Region Recognition
Three Blue Knights were named to the All-Region Team:

- D'Marco Chelley
- Parker Fahning
Head Coach Peter Olafeso was named 2026 Coach of the Year.
The Blue Knights next take on Iowa Central Community College on Saturday, March 7th at 2pm for the North Central District Championship, and the chance to advance to the NJCAA DII National Tournament.
