Nate Brackenbury Highlights Wrestling Team Trip To Illinois

PALATINE, Illinois -- The Blue Knights wrestling team traveled to Harper Community College in Palatine, Illinois the weekend of Jan. 8-9. It was the first time this season the team has competed in a tournament which all the teams were junior college level.

Standing out for the Blue Knights at Harper was Nate Brackenbury. Brackenbury, wrestling at 149, turned in the best performance of the day and the season. He went 2-2 on the day, placing fourth in his bracket. His wins consisted of a 7-1 decision and a fall.

Carl Troje (184) went 1-2 on the day, falling one match short of placing. His only win on the day was a fall. Justin Weeks (141) and Kyle Muhlberg (174) also competed for the Blue Knights, both going 0-2 on the day. The Blue Knights travel to Grand Rapids Jan. 15-16 to compete in the Itasca Open.
