Blue Knights Roll Over Anoka Ramsey Golden Rams

Women's soccer posts 7-0 shutout

 

After a disappointing loss on Wednesday, Sept. 3, to the NJCAA III #6 ranked Rochester Community and Technical College Yellow Jackets, the DCTC women's soccer team found the net seven times on Saturday, Sept. 5,in a win against host Anoka Ramsey Community College.

Blue Knights freshmen Jerrica Loeschke (Groton Area), Heather Neurer (Oakdale Tartan) and Katie Lucca (Lakeville South) each scored two goals in the game.

Sophomore Molly Perrier (Minneapolis Washburn) kicked the game's final goal. Freshman Kassie Young (Lakeville South) nailed down the shutout in goal. She was tested only three times and made three saves.

The Blue Knights now stand at 2-3 on the season. The win follows three consecutive shutouts going back to an Arizona trip where they lost 0-1 to the Gateway Community College Lady Geckos and 0-2 to theNJCAA I #14 ranked Paradise Valley Community College Pumas.

The Knights play at Macalester College on Friday, Sept. 12, with an 8p.m. kickoff. On Sunday, Sept. 14, they play at home against the Scott Community College Screaming Eagleswith a 2p.m. kickoff.

DCTC soccer plays all home games at Rose Parkatthe intersection of Judicial Road and County Road 42in Burnsville, Minn.
