Blue Knights Soccers Season Underway

The Blue Knight soccer teams are now several games into the 2007 season, and both teams are off to a good start.

ThumnbnailThe men’s team is currently 2-2 in conference play and 3-2 overall, defeating the College of Lake County (IL) in a non-conference match.

Leading the men’s scoring in the five games played so far is Soni Phommachanh (Burnsville, MN) with four goals, Adi Bilani (Minneapolis, MN) with three goals and one assist, and Akey Jumale (Marshall, MN) with one goal and three assists.

The next home game for the Blue Knight men will be on Wednesday, September 12, vs. North Iowa Area Community College at 3:30 p.m.

The women’s team has an overall record of 1-2 on the 2007 season. Leading the scoring for the Blue Knights is Ashley Jones (Minneapolis, MN) with six goals and one assist, following by Keely Anderson (River Falls, WI) with two goals and one assist, Kenna Kriedemacher (Eagan, MN) with two goals, and Molly Perrier (Minneapolis, MN) with one goal.

Up next, the women’s team will take on Rochester Community and Technical College at home on Wednesday, September 12 at 5:30.

All home games are played at North River Hills Park in Burnsville.
