Men's & Women's Soccer Season Results for 2006 (All Region)

Facing the most challenging schedule in its three-year history, the DCTC men’s soccer program managed to move up the ranks and finished 10-11-1, with seven of the losses being at the hands of top-ten teams from the scholarship division.
The season closed for the Blue Knights in the NJCAA Regional semifinals, with a 2-3-overtime loss to eighth-ranked Marshalltown.
The 2006 men’s squad had 14 freshmen on its 27-man roster, with hopes of building through stronger recruiting efforts next year. Leading scorer for the Blue Knights was Vincent Mbibi with 21 points (9 goals, 3 assists), with Isaak Haile and Akey Jumale each earning 13 points and Sam Tesfaye earning 12 points.

The women's soccer team finished the 2006 season with an overall record of 4-10-2.
The Blue Knights struggled early, losing All-American Kasey Dobbs to injury during the preseason and suffering six, one-goal losses. Despite this, the team did manage to find a number of young stars, with 13 freshmen getting many valuable minutes of playing time.
Emily Darmer led the team with 29 points (13 goals, 3 assists), and Keely Anderson earned 22 points (7 goals, 8 assists).
With nine returning starters, the Blue Knights hope to make progress towards a second regional championship in the program’s four-year history.
