BETTENDORF, Iowa-- The DCTC Blue Knights men’s soccer team won the right to host the regional quarterfinal playoffs on Thursday with a convincing 9-0 win over Scott Community College in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Scott had previously beaten the Knights 3-1 on Oct. 1, so the victory was particularly satisfying for the team, according to Coach Cam Stoltz. The men’s team is now 11-6-1 (4-5-0 in the conference).

Also on Thursday, the women’s team defeated Scott by an 11-0 margin, upping their record to 7-8-2 (2-4-0 in the conference).

Both teams will face Marshalltown Community College in Marshalltown, Iowa on Saturday.
