Blue Knights Take On Iowa Central In Tough Weekend Matches

Rosemount, Minn.--The Blue Knights fought hard against national powerhouse Iowa Central Community College on Saturday, but ultimately could not overcome the strength of the visiting team.

On the women’s side, DCTC led in shots on goal, 9-8, but could not translate these opportunities into goals, losing the match 4-1. The lone Blue Knight goal came from All-American Sheena Lien on an assist by Becca Noonan.

The men also had a difficult game against national power Iowa Central Team., losing 7-1. Scoring for the Blue Knights was Marwa Omot assisted by Josh Anderson late in the first half.

Next up for the Blue Knights men is Madison Area Technical College on Friday, Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. (time change from 7 p.m.). The match will be held at the Inver Grove Heights Rich Valley Complex.

Both the men and women will host Allen County Community College (Kan.) on Sunday, Oct. 10th at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. respectively at Rich Valley.
