DCTC Improves To 11-3 With Second Season Win Over Rochester

Becca Noonan and Rachel Jones each notched two goals in the DCTC Blue Knights’ 4-1 win Wednesday night over Rochester Community and Technical College. The win brought the team’s record to 11-3 as it prepared for two weekend away games in El Dorado, Kansas.

Noonan, Sheena Lien and Mandy Stockton also moved up in national individual junior college rankings for scoring and goalkeeping respectively. Noonan is now 16th nationally for scoring with 17 goals and 7 assists, while Lien ranks 32nd with five goals and 17 assists. Stockton is placed at 19th in goalkeeping, chalking up 180 saves in 13 games. In addition, her per-game, goal-allowed average is only 1.4.


The Blue Knights take on Allen County, Kansas on Friday afternoon, and face Butler County, Kansas on Saturday before returning home to the Twin Cities. The team’s next home game at Apple Valley’s Johnny Cake Ridge Park is Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.
