Blue Knights lose close match to Macalester JV, 2-0

The DCTC Blue Knights womens' soccer team suffered its first shutout Tuesday night under the lights against a strong Macalester College squad. While the team kept the match scoreless going into halftime, Macalester scored two quick goals in succession in the second half to seal the 2-0 victory. In spite of the final score, Coach Cam Pagani said Wednesday morning he was pleased overall with the performance of many Blue Knights against a very tough Macalester squad, which included many varsity Division III players. In addition, key Blue Knight players, including Rachel Jones and Gina Heggelman did not play Tuesday.
The Blue Knights take their 7-3 record to St. Peter on Thursday for a 4 p.m. match against the Gusties of Gustavus Adolphus.
