DCTC Soccer Continue Winning Ways with Men and Women
Men gain two weekend wins in wisconsin, women even record with away win.

ROSEMOUNT, Minn.—The Dakota County Technical College men’s soccer program continued its winning ways this weekend, grabbing two wins on the road in playing two games in Madison,Wis. The Blue Knights have now won five consecutive games.
In Friday’s game, the Blue Knights came from behind to defeat Madison Area Technical College, 2-1, with the game winner coming with only four minutes remaining.
Billy Beaman (Freshman, St. Paul) tied the game on a long free kick with 20 minutes left in the game. Ben Swanson (Freshman, Hastings) cleaned up a one-time shot to put the Blue Knights ahead for good.
On Saturday, the Knights performed well against Milwaukee Technical College, coming away with a convincing 7-1 victory. Casey Holm (Sophomore, Hudson Wis.) led the way with three goals and two assists, while Charlie Busskohl (Freshman, Woodbury) gained two goals and two assists. The Blue Knights men’s team now owns a 5-2-0 record.
Coach Cam Stoltz said he is pleased with how the men’s team has begun to gel as a united squad. With a 5-2 record, the men will travel to Northfield on Tuesday for a challenging match-up against St. Olaf. Game time is 5 p.m.
The Blue Knights women’s team is also on a streak, taking the last two games to even its record at 2-2-0. Most recently, the Knights defeated Central Lakes College at Brainerd on Sept. 7 in a lopsided 7-0 game.
Andrea Bolanos (Freshman, St. Paul) began the rout just 38 seconds into the match with her second goal of the season. The women play at St. Olaf on Tuesday (3 p.m. kickoff) and face Rochester away on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30.
