Blue Knights Baseball Breaks Top 10 in National Poll

DCTC Ranked #9 in NJCAA Div. III
Dakota County Technical College's baseball team made the top 10 nationally in the NJCAA Division III preseason poll. The Blue Knights are ranked ninth heading into the 2009 season.
Head Coach Randy Briesacher is excited about the upcoming year, noting that he has a solid roster of veterans and new recruits. Last year, the Blue Knights lost 11–16 to the Ridgewater College Warriors in the NJCAA Region XIII championship game. The Knights won their first two games in the tournament, but fell one win short of advancing to the NJCAA Division III World Series in Tyler, Texas.
The team will begin play on March 7, 2009, in Winter Haven, Fla., against the Jackson Community College Jets out of Jackson, Mich. The annual spring road trip includes six doubleheaders at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational against tough competition.
