Tim Huber is entering his fourth year as head baseball coach at Dakota County Technical College. Under his direction, DCTC has gone from the bottom of the Minnesota Community College Conference standings to three straight MCCC State Tournament appearances.

The Blue Knights have improved their record each year under Huber. Before he started, DCTC finished with five wins. In his three seasons as head coach DCTC has won 19, 23 and 25 games. Full Bio

Jake Swartout is in his third year with Dakota County Technical College. Jake works with the outfielders and hitters.

Swartout has coached several teams in the past, ranging from Babe Ruth to American Legion. He led his 2002 Hopkins American Legion team to the state tournament.

Swartout played outfield, first base and pitcher for at Southwest Minnesota State University, where he was a four-year letter winner and gathered All-Conference honors his senior season. He graduated from SMSU in 2002 with a degree in corrections along with a coaching minor.  Full Bio

Randy Briesacher begins his second season on the Blue Knights staff and serves as the team’s pitching coach.

Briesacher spent his rookie playing days with the Arizona Padres in 1984 and the NWCC baseball team from 1996-1998. In 2000, he founded the Minnesota Starz. Briesacher has coached for the ACE baseball program and the Stockman's Irish Amateur Team. He currently coaches for the Minnesota Starz and is an associate scout for the Atlanta Braves. Full Bio

Garrett Retka is in his third season with Dakota County Technical College. Garrett works with the catchers and hitters. 

Retka played college baseball as a catcher at Minnesota State University, Mankato and the University of Minnesota. He also played professional ball with the Duluth Dukes of the Northern League.  In addition to coaching at DCTC, Garrett is also an assistant coach at Henry Sibley High School.

Garrett resides in Hastings with his wife Sara.  Full Bio
