DCTC Baseball Team Announces 2004 Schedule

The Dakota County Technical College Blue Knights baseball team unveiled its 2004 schedule this week. Under the command of new Coach Kerry Lurken, the second-year program begins this year's campaign March 10 against the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Ark. The team's southern tour from March 10-14 will include five games across Arkansas and Oklahoma, with a home opener scheduled for April 2 at 2 p.m. vs. Anoka-Ramsey Community College. The Blue Knights' first Minnesota game of the year will be played March 30 in a doubleheader vs. Ridgewater Community College in Willmar.
Coach Lurken said he believes this year's team will be strong and looks forward to beginning the season. Lurken said there is a 25-man roster on the team this year, and that more than 40 young men from Minnesota and Wisconsin have tried out for the squad. The Blue Knights will compete in the Minnesota Community College Conference.
