DCTC Baseball Team Plays First Game at the Dome

he first game was scheduled for Sunday, March 9 at 6:00 a.m. in the Metrodome against Fergus Falls CC. Following the opening game the BlueKnights traveled to Southern Iowa and the Kansas City, Missouri area for games. The current schedule consists of 42 games against a variety of two and four year colleges. Plans have been started for next year's spring break trip. Possible trips include Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma where the Blue Knights will start the 2004 season. Also, during the 2004 season we will join the Minnesota Community College Conference Southern Division and play a full conference schedule.
The team currently consists of 18 players who will make up the roster for this first spring. The players attend both DCTC and Inver Hills CC while being able to play on the DCTC team. All home games will be played on the campus of DCTC. Construction of a new baseball field was completed in late October, which will make for one of the finest on campus baseball facilities in the conference.
